Old World Architecture – Leon Battista Alberti 1404-1472
Our Italian architect ancestor, Leon Battista Alberti, was considered to be the epitome of the “Renaissance Man”. Leon was also a priest, a painter, a mathematician, a poet, an artist and a linguist. Some of his famous work comprises of the churches of St. Sebastiano, St. Andrea, and the Tempio Malatestiano, Santa Maria Novella and Palazzo Rucellai.
